Landscaping at its Finest

July 2017 - Exterior finishes are underway and landscaping is expected to begin. Assistant Project Manager Daniel Cevallos gives us the inside scoop:

"The landscape consists of a number of different plant specimens designed by award-winning landscape architect Raymond Jungles Inc.  With over 100 trees ranging from Sabal Palms featuring a special curving trunk character to Medjool date palms native to the Atlantic coast of Morocco, the landscape design will provide a lush escape for residents. In August, we expect the planting of the Kapok tree which is the most notorious tree in the landscape design.  The Kapok tree has a distinct umbrella shaped canopy and can reach heights of up to 230 feet! The tree is native to South America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.

Adding to the building landscape, we plan to start installation of concrete pavers at the sidewalks and beach access areas which include a specific paver design pattern requested by the City of Sunny Isles Beach.

We also expect, in July, to complete the signalization work, which consists of the installation of three new traffic signals along Collins Avenue. They will serve the new traffic pattern created by the addition of a turn lane leading to the Jade Signature’s main entrance.

The turn lane will be receiving an ornamental aluminum fence per City of Sunny Isles design which will complete the work at the median."
