Bonhomme Universe, Jade Signature's new public beach sculpture was revealed Tuesday, December 5th, 2017. Bonhomme Universe, which is a 10.5 foot by 5.57 foot snowman, is the latest addition to renowned artist Daniel Knorr's snowman collection. Knorr's sculptures have been seen in various countries with the newest addition being located on the beach outside of Jade Signature.
The snowman is constructed of stainless steel and concrete and is covered in hundreds of precious/semiprecious stones. The different stones add a multicultural touch to the snowman by representing people from all over the world who come to share Miami as their home and community.
Bonhomme translates to
"good man" in English and sets forth to bring a sense of community to
the area. The message of kindness continues through the palm tree arm which
"waves" to passerby's along the public north beach entrance.
