In the midst of construction of the Jade Signature luxury
condominium tower, Suffolk’s project team chose to set aside time for a project
a little more humbling. A few weeks ago,
10 Suffolk members joined with Habitat for Humanity to help three families in
need. Habitat for Humanity is an
international organization bringing hope to low income families by building
maintainable housing for these families to live in. With that being said, this was the perfect
way for Suffolk team members to give back to the community and show their
expertise while doing it. The Suffolk
team spent all day painting and roofing three neighboring houses in the Pompano
area. Pam Marshall, one of the 10
members who participated in this event, commented, “We’re all so fortunate, and we were just
trying to find an opportunity to give back to our community and know we made a
tangible difference in the lives of three families that will live here.” This project was a great team building effort
and Suffolk is currently on the wait list for the next opportunity to help
out.
